You Control Your Feet

Stand up.

Find your hip bones. Not the fleshy part on the side of your hips; the bones that point forward like your knees do.

Stand with your feet under your hip bones.

Point your toes forward. Your feet should be parallel like they are on railroad tracks.

Soften your knees. If they are locked, you can easily be knocked over. If they are soft, then they will act like shock absorbers.

Reach up and bring the fingertips of both hands to the back of your neck. Notice the way your chest lifts. Keep it there.

Let your hands fall to your sides. Roll your shoulders back and down, away from your ears tucking your shoulder blades into your back pockets.

Keep your shoulders over your hips and your hips over your feet. Do not lean back or forward.

Walk with purpose.

You control your feet; they do not control you.

Namaste.
