Amberetta is an entrepreneur, musician, and teacher. She is a formally trained classical pianist, a second-generation belly dancer, and has been performing for over thirty years. She posts educational and performance videos on her YouTube channel so that others will be inspired to sparkle.
Amberetta has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2010. She owned and operated Bay Area Moving Arts Center, an El Cerrito dance studio that closed in June of 2017. She founded Shake the Bay, a belly dance event benefitting the Alzheimer's Association, which she produced in San Francisco four times from 2014 to 2017. She grew up in Alabama and graduated from Pell City High School, where she was the piano accompanist for the high school concert and show choirs, pianist for the jazz band, and played vibraphone in the marching band.
Amberetta also lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee for seven years. While in Tennessee, she frequently performed Tribal Fusion belly dance as a soloist and taught weekly classes. Amberetta received her yoga teacher certification from the Asheville Yoga Center under the direction of Stephanie Keach shortly before moving to California.
After thirteen years working as an Executive Assistant full-time and dancing part-time, Amberetta was diagnosed with chronic illness. She has overcome many personal setbacks and failures in life, but appreciates the wisdom, blessings, and experience her journey has gifted her. Now that her health has forced her to spend most of her time at home, Amberetta spends most of her days creating things at home with her dog, Fiona, and much of her evenings living the dream with her hubby, Super Steve.
